About Me

My name is Farhan Lakhany and I am a philosopher of mind, artificial intelligence and cognitive science. In August 2023, I received my PhD from the University of Iowa and am currently teaching at the University of Nebraska Omaha as a Visiting Assistant Professor.

My main research interests lay at the intersection of the philosophy of mind, philosophy of artificial intelligence, philosophy of psychology and cognitive science with an emphasis on consciousness, mental representation and artificial intelligence. In addition, I have interests in the philosophy of science, metaphilosophy, epistemology, egalitarianism, neuroscience, psychology, evolutionary theory, biology and computer science.
